[…] State Rep. Jason Ortitay, R-Cecil, who helped secure a $150,000 state grant for the project said, said 25 state representatives and state senators have signed on to support BizTown and its role in helping prepare young people to enter the labor force.

He pointed out the workforce in Western Pennsylvania is aging and new workers will soon be needed to replace those who are retiring.

“We will be 80,000 workers short by 2025. We need young people to stay here in Western Pennsylvania,” he said.
